Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Kindred Chaos, LLC ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Craft Business Success Suite™ software and website (the "Service"). This page is maintained by The Kindred Chaos, LLC to answer common privacy questions about the Service.
1. Information you provide
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) your business name. When you make a purchase, our payment processor collects the information required to complete the transaction. When you use the Service, we store the plans, calculations, notes, and other content you create.
2. Information collected automatically
We collect standard log and diagnostic data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and error reports. We use this to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and diagnose issues.
3. How we use information
We use your information to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) process purchases and deliver entitlements; (c) send transactional emails such as sign-up confirmations, password resets, receipts, security notices, refund and dispute information, important Service notices, and support responses; (d) send occasional promotional emails to account holders unless they opt out; (e) record your current marketing preference and, where applicable, the date, source, and applicable policy or preference version; (f) provide customer support; and (g) comply with legal obligations. The Kindred Chaos, LLC does not sell personal information or customer marketing lists.
4. Marketing communications
When you create an account with Craft Business Success Suite™, you may receive occasional promotional emails from us. Promotional communications may include craft business tips, product updates, new-feature announcements, special offers, discounts, events, coaching information, and related business content.
You may opt out of promotional emails at any time through Account → Email Preferences. Once promotional email begins, each promotional message will also include an unsubscribe link that you can use to opt out. Opting out of promotional communications does not stop essential transactional messages, including account confirmations, password resets, security notices, purchase and access information, refund or dispute information, support responses, and important Service notices.
We record your current marketing preference and may record the date of your preference, the source through which it was set, and the applicable policy or preference version. A selected email-service provider may process marketing information in the future when a provider is connected. The Kindred Chaos, LLC does not sell personal information or customer marketing lists.
5. Service providers
We share information with vetted service providers who process it on our behalf, including our cloud hosting and database provider, our authentication provider, Stripe for payment processing, and our transactional email provider (Mailgun via the sender domain notify.thekindredchaos.com). A selected email-marketing provider may in the future process marketing information for account holders who have not opted out, once one is connected. These providers are contractually required to protect your information, and The Kindred Chaos, LLC does not sell personal information or customer marketing lists.
6. Authentication and sign-in
You can sign in with email and password or with Google. If you use Google sign-in, Google shares your name and email address with us so we can create and maintain your account. We do not receive your Google password.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The Service uses cookies and local storage strictly to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate core features. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated content by emailing support@thekindredchaos.com. We may retain limited records (such as purchase and tax records) as required by law.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, row-level authorization on our database, and least-privilege access controls for administrators. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@thekindredchaos.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the US, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email. The "Effective" date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
